Sky Ferreira finally got it right with her much celebrated “Everything is Embarrasing”, featured on loads and loads of Best of-lists, including IFM’s (a worthy #32th place). “Lost in My Bedrom”, a well-polished stomping electropop-cut originally released before her breakthrough, unluckily never got the attention it deserved. With her full-length debut I’m Not Alright about to drop very soon, this rather decent pop song gets a second chance with the release of the music video. It’s an intimate, old analog home video-like cut full with near-epileptic flashing lights (there’s even a warning for those sensitive to strobe lights). The clip’s visual esthetic is compelling for all of us who enjoy the nostalgic 80’s home recording VHS-style feeling, but I guess you have to be old enough to actually have used an analog cam-recorder to fully enjoy the experience.
