There’s no doubt a whole bunch of semi-interesting novel British indie bands getting a lot of coverage from British bloggers. At first glance, newcomer’s Coats might not appear to be any different, but they are certainly one to follow. Their single ”Ocean” shows that there’s a lot of potential suppressed underneath their somewhat naive appearance. Their sound (especially the reverberated clean guitars and the drum arrangement) feels a bit like WU LYF, but without Ellery James Robert’s characteristic vocals. I’m pretty sure they will surface above the vast majority of greenhorn independent pop bands. Stream the video and enjoy.
