“Still” is a scaled back song from Daugher, a three piece band out of the UK. Their sound could be described as a more atmospheric folky take on The xx’s sonic palette. The song is beautiful in itself, but the sorrowful video about a relationship on the verge of failure takes every single chord to new emotive heights. I rarely post a track merely for the video, but “Still” deserves to be seen.
Daughter’s debut album If You Leave is out on the 18th of March in the UK via 4AD and 30th of April in The US via Glassnote. Chech out their previous single, “Smother” via Spotify.
