F Y F E – Solace

I’ve seen this track floating around the net for a couple of weeks. At first a bit hesitant to press play, but my curiosity finally won. And thank god for that. Fyfe (or F Y F E, not quite sure about the right way to spell it), is an anonymous young Londoner that popped up out of nowhere with “Solace” – an astonishing debut. The song feels sad and mournful, shifting between scaled-down verses and full-blown refrains, reaching its climax with a beautiful but distressed guitar solo towards the end. There’s no need to categorize or to add “Solace” into any specific genre, it speak for itself. Do yourself a favor and listen to it below. Fyfe’s debut EP is expected to drop sometime in March.
