HAERTS – All The Days

Hype or no hype, HAERTS soaring “Wings” was a powerful debut, holding some of the most boisterous dream-pop harmonies in recent memory. Their follow-up and second offering contains pretty much everything you might expect; mounting anthemic percussions, flawlessly lavish synthesizers and most importantly, those heart-wreckingly gorgeous guitars from their previous single make a grand return. It’s almost pompously over the top with thoughtfully constructed euphoric passages leading up to nicely packaged pinnacles, but by sounding like a wistful Susanne Hoffs or Stevie Nicks for that matter, Nina Fabi’s vocals breaks it off from becoming any form of cheesy spectacle. So we embrace it and love it, almost as much as their previous effort.
