Georgian Waters – Dead In No Time

Dream-pop rarely lives up to its name as it does in the hands of the increasingly prolific dream-pop act Georgian Waters. After last year’s release of the 6-track EP Lessons, the Stockholm-based five-piece decided to release a continuous stream of singles, a more flexible and creative approach to composing without the restrictions of the EP format. The outcome shows a band more confident in their ways, gradually peeling of their rough edges with every new release.

“Dead In No Time” is the second of the singles series and their most focused and beautiful effort to date. The interchange between the female/male vocals fits the mood perfectly with a gentle nod towards Cocteau Twins polished off with the chiming guitars of Slowdive/Lush. Beautiful.
