Woods always hit me as a band that stresses consistency over change. Over the past nine years, Woods never reeled too far off their beaten path, and it’s hard to fault them after seven good-to-great full-lengths. Woods seems to have found a comfort in their art right from the start, resulting in a discography where it’s almost impossible to pick a favorite. Later this spring, Woods are set to release With Light and With Love, their first album since 2012’s Bend Beyond. “Leaves Like Glass”, a folk rock ballad with a rich sound, serves as a sweet first teaser, consistent with the high quality I’ve come to expect from them. The album is out April 15 via own label, Woodsist Records. .
